Sèna Pierre

Regional Director | Founder of Society of Royals | Texas

Sèna Pierre is a philanthropic entrepreneur and youth mental health advocate whose work is shaped by both personal loss and a profound belief in the power of hope. Her dedication has been recognized statewide, earning four Proclamations and three Resolutions from Harris County and Fort Bend County Commissioners, Texas State Senators, and Texas Mayors, along with Sèna Pierre Day, declared on July 28th by Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo. She is among the few women to receive The Yellow Rose of Texas from Governor Greg Abbott, an honor reserved for exceptional women making a lasting mark on the state and also awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award under the administration of President Joseph Biden Jr. for her service and enduring community impact.

Sèna’s work is rooted in a deeply personal story. After the heartbreaking loss of multiple loved ones to suicide, she refused to let silence be the final word. In 2015, she founded Society of Royals, a nonprofit committed to building a culture where young people do not simply survive but feel seen, valued, and equipped to thrive. The organization focuses on mental health awareness, suicide prevention education, and teaching young people that asking for help is a courageous beginning, not a failure.

Today, Sèna continues to scale her impact as Texas Regional Director for the Texas Youth Mental Health Network Coalition, under Texas A&M’s Texas Youth Action Network (TYAN). In this role, she leads a statewide coalition across major cities, including a historic assignment to both Houston and Dallas, mobilizing educators, community leaders, and evidence-based resources to elevate youth voice, resilience, and leadership in mental health.

She also serves as the Executive Director of Youth Texas Teams, a youth-led organization founded by her nephews that reimagines athletics as a platform for leadership, literacy, emotional wellness, and storytelling. Through mentorship, digital media, and student-written publications, the organization empowers young athletes to reflect, communicate, and use their influence beyond the game.

Inspired by the healing companionship of her dog Sage during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sèna also advocates for pet adoption as a meaningful source of comfort and emotional support, a reminder that connection comes in many forms.

Whether speaking to lawmakers, mentoring young leaders, building coalitions, or writing to spark change, Sèna’s work is anchored in one central belief: She remains committed to building a future where youth are not only supported and mentally strong, but confident enough to lead with empathy, resilience, and purpose transforming their communities and futures with the same hope that once transformed her.
