Co-Founder of Family Community Case Management | Dallas/Fort Worth
Kalea is the co-founder and interim CEO of Family Community Case Management, bringing over nine years of experience as a Qualified Mental Health Professional-Community Services (QMHP-CS), case manager, and peer specialist supervisor. With a deep commitment to mental health advocacy and peer support, Kalea has dedicated her career to empowering individuals through compassionate care and evidence-based practices.
She is a graduate of Texas A&M University-Commerce, where she studied General Studies, and Full Sail University, where she majored in Media Communications. She holds multiple certifications, including Community Health Worker, Certified Mental Health Peer Specialist, Peer Support Supervisor, and Certified Family Partner Supervisor through the Texas Certification Board for Addiction Professionals. Additionally, she is a Certified Personal Medicine Coach, having earned her certification from the Common Ground Institute under Dr. Pat Deegan.
With over two decades of experience in training, facilitation, and professional development, Kalea has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of peers and professionals within the mental health field. As the former Director of Peer Services at Family Community Case Management, she spearheaded initiatives to advance the role of peers in the mental health workforce.
Beyond her professional achievements, Kalea brings a unique perspective as a person with lived experience of traumatic grief and loss. This personal journey fuels her passion for supporting others on their paths to healing and growth. Through her leadership and dedication, Kalea continues to be a driving force in mental health advocacy, workforce development, and peer-led support services.
