Society of Royals is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to youth mental health and well-being. Based in Houston, Texas, we serve youth ages 5-25 across more than 87 schools statewide. Our mission is to combat the effects of self-hate, neglect, heartache, and the challenges of growing up by focusing on mental health awareness, suicide prevention, anti-bullying initiatives, kindness, and personal development.
Unlike traditional empowerment organizations, Society of Royals partners with outreach programs to provide youth with personalized support. Through our directorial facilitation model, we assess each young person’s unique needs and connect them with the right resources to promote healing, growth, and resilience. This approach allows us to maximize our impact, ensuring that every youth we serve receives the guidance and encouragement they need.
Throughout the year, we host mentorship programs, mental health workshops, and self-development events that empower young individuals to overcome challenges and embrace their full potential. Our goal is to create a ripple effect of hope, strength, and positive change, equipping youth with the tools they need to thrive—mentally, emotionally, and socially.
At Society of Royals, we are building a future where every young person feels seen, supported, and valued. Together, we are breaking cycles, fostering resilience, and transforming lives.
Our company’s journey began with gratitude. The BYOB acronym’s meaning is more than you think—it’s not “bring your own bottle.” Instead, it stands for Build Your Own Brain. This innovative idea sparks curiosity and invites people to take control of their minds and personal growth. The BYOB Movement symbolizes empowerment, helping individuals shape their lives with purpose and positivity.
Too often, our uncontrollable inner dialogues hinder us, as many of us have been conditioned to rely on our two physical eyes for decision-making, neglecting the understanding that lies within our mental eyes, the realm of love. Mental health, often a topic evaded by many, is dissected into manageable pieces for individual understanding. We delve into core issues such as guilt, lack of self-compassion, and self-neglect. We inspire individuals to love themselves and become adept decision-makers. Join us on this transformative journey at Build Your Own Brain, LLC.
For over 20 years, A Better Me Basic Skills for Life has been dedicated to empowering youth through practical life skills education. The journey began in after school care, where the need for real-world skills beyond academics became
evident. What started as simple cooking lessons and self-affirmation exercises quickly grew into a comprehensive program designed to equip young people with the tools they need to thrive.
Recognizing the importance of preparing students for the future, A Better Me developed a middle school program focused on interview preparation, job maintenance, etiquette, and chivalry. Over time, offerings expanded to include financial literacy, career exploration, and post-graduation planning helping students discover their path and gain the confidence to pursue it.
Inspired by a commitment to making life skills education widely accessible, A Better Me began developing a resource that compiles essential topics such as financial literacy, credit, investments, major purchases, professional etiquette, workplace success, and healthy relationships. Designed for young adults, after school instructors, youth group leaders, and parents, this resource serves as a guide to navigating life’s challenges with confidence and preparedness.
Through interactive programming, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, A Better Me continues to bridge the gap between academics and real-world success. The ultimate vision is to see life skills education integrated into schools, ensuring that every young person is equipped to transition into adulthood with purpose, knowledge, and resilience.
The Mulligan Fund is a non-profit organization founded on the belief that reaching success is possible when we are empowered to persevere beyond life’s challenges – whether a stumble caused by social or economic hardships – a second chance has the power to help us overcome.
We achieve this by granting scholarships directly to individuals who are seeking educational or career advancement; or, local entrepreneurs who are creating sustainable change in their communities.
We identify potential candidates through grassroots community engagement, and collaboration with other organizations that increase accessibility and maximize resources.
4th Quarter Shots is a non-profit organization dedicated to equipping youth with the principles and discipline needed to succeed both on and off the court. We provide a safe space where young athletes can receive guidance, develop their skills, and grow into well-rounded individuals. Our goal is to ensure that every child, regardless of their background or financial situation, has access to an exceptional basketball program at no cost. We firmly believe that a child’s neighborhood or economic status should never dictate their opportunities or limit their potential. Many underprivileged youth miss out on valuable experiences due to a lack of resources, and 4th Quarter Shots is committed to bridging that gap by hosting basketball camps throughout Houston and surrounding areas. Through these camps, we connect youth with top-tier trainers who not only teach the fundamentals of basketball but also instill lifelong skills for success.
Inspired by the 4th quarter in basketball—where every shot counts—our organization applies this same mindset of perseverance and intensity to both the game and life. We empower youth to give their best effort at all times, preparing them to be unstoppable on the court and beyond. Our program is designed for youth from vulnerable communities, including those without transportation, financial means, or access to training. We serve young athletes who may feel hopeless due to their circumstances, showing them that they are not defined by their environment—they have the potential to rise above and achieve greatness.
At 4th Quarter Shots, our core values—Perseverance, Accountability, Inclusion, and Discipline P.A.I.D.)—guide everything we do. We stand firm on Kingdom Business, believing that every child deserves the chance to succeed, and we are here to provide them with the tools, training, and confidence to be the best version of themselves
