Since opening our doors in December 2019, we have worked tirelessly to provide cohesive, trauma-informed mental health services, effective service connections, and access to community-based resources to ensure the well-being of those we serve.
Our comprehensive services include Individual and Family Therapy, Case Management, Peer Support, Youth Advocacy, and Family Engagement, all tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. With a focus on fostering resilience and independence, FCCM employs a person-centered, trauma-informed approach that prioritizes self-efficacy and determination. Verde’s Cry is a 501c3, nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering mental health awareness and suicide prevention among young people ages 9 to 25, through advocacy, education and spreading awareness. Our mission is to empower individuals through education, support, and interactive activities that promote emotional well-being and resilience.
Verde’s Cry evolved after Founder Samantha L. Chatman-Saul, lost her 26, year old son, Tilwen T.J. Green, Jr., to suicide. Since its creation in 2021, during the height of the Covid-19 global pandemic we began offering comprehensive programs designed to engage youth in constructive discussions about mental health while providing them with the tools they
need to identify signs of struggle in themselves and others. Through workshops seminars and community events, we aim to create a safe place where young people can share their experiences, learn coping strategies and build a supportive network.
Keeping My Promise (K.M.P.) was first conceptualized by Aaron P. Harris in 2009 and formally established in January 2020. Designed to be a pillar in the community, K.M.P. was born from a deeply personal tragedy that shaped its mission. On the morning of October 9, 2009, Aaron’s elder brother, Alex Harris, was tragically killed due to gun violence in their hometown of Louisville, KY. Determined to honor his brother’s legacy, Aaron founded K.M.P. as a way to support youth facing similar challenges. The organization’s mission is “to inspire youth and young adults to persevere through life’s challenges, while supporting educational and career aspirations.” This mission was inspired by a pivotal conversation between the brothers just days before Alex’s passing.
Through career-based mentorship, educational access initiatives, and dynamic personal development programs, Keeping My Promise (K.M.P.) is committed to empowering youth and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges. By providing structured guidance, resources, and support, K.M.P. equips individuals with the tools needed to overcome adversity and achieve long-term success
To date, Keeping My Promise Inc. has forged impactful partnerships with organizations across North Texas, including Dak Prescott’s Faith Fight Finish Foundation, Survive and Thrive Education (Fort Worth), Dallas and Crowley ISD. These collaborations have expanded K.M.P.’s reach, allowing the organization to provide mentorship, leadership training, and educational opportunities to a broader community.
Driven by a mission of resilience and empowerment, K.M.P. continues to serve as a vital resource for young people striving to unlock their full potential.
